Edwin Lent "Ned" Jay

Edwin Lent "Ned" Jay, of Atlanta, Ga. passed away and a memorial service was held in South Bend, Ind. on Jan 24, 2006. His remains were buried on the family plot near his mother who died when Ned was just a young boy. He is survived by two sons and their families, John Bradley Jay of Buford, Ga. and Jeffrey Jay of St. Louis, Mo.

Ned was very active in the work and research for the Jay Family. He was appointed president of the Jay Family Association after the death of his uncle, Wendell Thomas Jay, who was president and a charter member of the association. Ned served as president for many years until 1995 when he resigned and was made President Emeritus.
